The Sydney sandstone around the Northern Beaches and Mosman harbour foreshore is one subject that Candyss revisits for painting inspiration. Layers of naturally occurring colours exposed in the weathered rocks – golds, greys, blues and sandstone ochres, amorphous lines creating an illusory vision of the place somewhere between the real and imaginary.
